The images in our collections do not fall into the altered art category. Altered art images are images that have already been altered in some way. Normally altered art graphics will already have the flaws removed-(IE: the backgrounds have been cleaned up, creases removed from old photos, color adjustments have been made).Due to the time involved and the creativity of the work, altered art images are copyrighted by the artist that takes the time to alter the images. In the very near future, Digital Imagery Plus will have altered art packages available. However, many of us need images in the public domain; and they can be very difficult, or time consuming to locate.
Our packages contain a mixture of images that range in quality and size. All are vintage graphics. These images are sometimes old photographs, greeting cards, advertisements, trading cards and ephemera. All images are in jpeg file format. These images are used for a variety of purposes, and limited only by your imagination. Many use them for scrapbooking images. They can be printed out and framed for unique wall decorations. Print as labels or address labels! Make your own greeting cards or stationary. Or how about a new desktop theme or screensaver slideshow?
Due to our immense graphics collection, there may be duplicates in the packages. We have added additional images per package to compensate for this inadequacy. ie: If a package advertises 500 images, it will actually have more than the advertised amount. We recommend an internet connection of DSL or higher for downloading our packages. An unzip program is required for opening file.
